I have a little story to share that just reminded me of the EXPO!!!!When my foster son Dale was about 5 years old we played an Aprils fools joke on him. He thought that was so great to have a day to play jokes on people. Unfortunetly Dale didn't quit get the meaning of April 1st /april fools day came once a year. Dale played April fool jokes on use rather often and would say April Fool with such a great big smile you just couldn't get mad, just made you love him more. I wonder????
If EAS is pulling an April Fool joke on us in January??? Maybe they will going us along until the night of the Gala and then anounce :There are NO New Champion Winners!!! April FOOL!!!Hum!!!! I wonder??????? LOL

Contest Rules
The contest will start for any challenge started on or after January 1st, 2007. Final contest photos and contest profiles must be completed and uploaded or received by mail by March 8th, 2007. You will have an additional 2 months before the cruise to improve your condition further!
You must take before and after photos from the front, side and back with a newspaper showing the date -- the newspaper with date is required for your entry to be valid. Before photos must be taken any time on or after January 1st and must be submitted by midnight central time, February 8th, 2007. After photos must be received by us by midnight central time, March 8th, 2007. You may upload your photos to the site, however we may require you to send unmodified copies to us by postal mail or email if the newspaper dates are not legible online. You may e-mail photos to webmaster@bodyforlife-tracker.com or mail them to:Body for Life Tracker Cruise Contestc/o John Ertel 900 E. Pecan St., Ste 300 #101Pflugerville, TX 78660 You may add photos measuring progress in between the before and after photos to your profile at any time during the competition -- these photos do not require a newspaper.
In all e-mails or postal mail, please include your profile name or number and your registered e-mail address (you can find these by going to the page where you edit your profile).
You will be sent a link later by private message within the forums and a link will appear in the page to edit your profile for a set of contest-related questions and essays to be completed no later than midnight central time, February 10th, 2007. This link/message to the essay questions may not be available until the end of January.
Please make sure that payment of the entry fee ($25) is received by midnight central, February 8th, 2007. No entries will be accepted after that date. Payments are 100% secure and instantly received through paypal and you can pay with your credit card, paypal account or check.
Voting by members of the site will begin March 5th, 2007. We recommend having your final photos added by that time, although it is not required. The winner will not be determined by the votes of the site members but votes will factor heavily into the judges decision.
Contest winners will be determined by a three-member panel of judges consisting of the site Webmaster (John Ertel) and moderators TJ and Beka. In the event either moderator is unable to fulfill their duties, the webmaster will determine a replacement judge.
Prizes and Winners - Grand prize is a cabin with room for 2 people aboard the Champions for Life 2007 cruise. The grand prize winner will be announced Friday, March 9th, 2007. If there are enough entries, we will send the winner a check to help pay for travel expenses ($300 if we receive over 75 entries, $500 if we receive over 100 and $0 if we do not receive 75 entries). Winner will be required to pay for all transportation and related expenses to and from the cruise out of pocket. Runner up winners will be chosen on March 16th, 2007. The Member's Choice runner-up who receives the most member votes (other than the winner) will receive a one year premium membership to Bodyforlife-tracker.com worth $120 which will remove all ads from the site and provide additional features such as extra photo gallery space and other premium features. One male and female inspirational selection will be made by the judges and each will receive a 6 month premium membership valued at $60.
In the event of extreme lack of participation to justify the contest, the contest may be cancelled and entry fees fully refunded if at least 40 people have not entered the contest by February 1st, 2007. Cruise reservations will be made as soon as 40 people have entered the competition.

The new TOOO small too tight suit suit challenge for 2007

I saw this little suit on sale, $5.00 each piece, size 7 junior, Last suits I fit into were size 11 or size medium, I haven't even gone to size 9/10 year. When I saw this suit I wanted it, but they only had a size 7 so being cute and cheap I couldn't pass it up plus I said well it will give me a new motive to work harder in 2007 to fit into it by the time of the cruise in May.
However, all the cruise challenges and torch jacket challenge came up and I figured, HEY!
YOU GO GIRL, GO FOR IT and GET*HER*DONE!!!
So here I am standing here in a bikini that is way to small and shows my love handles hanging over and notice no tan, lol
I am holding the Sunday dec 31, 2006 paper and the pics were all taken on Jan 1, 2007, (sorry Carriere, Ms doesn't get a Monday paper)

I have lots of challenges and lots of reasons to get myself fitting into this cute little number to WIN!!!!!

It was so exciting I don't plan on missing it this year, Hey I'm already packing.!

What a fantastic weekend, Better then I ever thought it could be. 4 hrs total sleep for a weekend just doesn't cut it for me, WOW< I can't believe I stayed up all night,I haven't done that in 25 years, haha, I felt like A teenager again, thanks to all my young friends that let the ole lady hang out with ya'll. I had a blast and a 1/2 I barely slept the night before, I just didn't want to miss anything. I met soooooooo many wonderful Lifers, it was increadible, I just had an awesome weekend. I wanted to send out this special Thank you to everyone of you, I know in my heart that everyone of you is just that wonderful, but you made me feel like you were all just bending over backwards to make my weekend perfect! and It was, I couldn't have dreamed up a better weekend. So many people, all so different ,all so touching , all with a different story to tell from all walks of life and yet all together in one common bond, BODY FOR LIFE! . Thanks you Stephanie for all you did to make this weekend so awesome Thanks Jackie and Robert for all you did to help get me here, I really enjoyed the ride and the company, you guys are wonderful. Thanks Beka for the Git R done cap, I wore it to teach the aerobic class, so sorry you had to leave, wish I could have had more time with you., I love the cap sooo much, I'll wear it alot and cherish it! I feel like a little teeny bobber in it and trust me at 52 that's a great feeling!, hehe Thanks Deana for reminding me that age is just a silly little number . You are awesome and I enjoyed spending time with you.Thanks for all the great pics everyone is sharing, they are all so awesome. Just thought you might enjoy seeing my exercise room and aerobic room with the grandkids workout area
Sorry you need to look side ways on some, I forgot to rotate them before I uploaded them.
The 1st thing you see when you walk into the Little 1 bedroom trailer that used to be our summer place before we moved here and now turned into a Guest house and Exercise and tanning room is Cory Everson. The other pic is of me when I was teaching aerobics at a studio, they had all the employees pics on the wall and gave mine to me when we moved. You can see I have all my certifications on the wall and pics of trackers and BFLers, I'll add more soon from the cruise pics. You walk into the weight room which was the living room and the aerobic room with the kids equipment used to be the kitchen. I turned one bedroom into a tanning room and you go down the hall to the bath and guest bedroom.

I have alot of equipment. I used to teach personal training there before my granddaughter Heather was born, then I quit to be a full time Granny. Heather is now 10 years old but she loves to exercise, I bought the kids equipment for her when she was a baby, she loved it, then all the other grandkids got to enjoy it, Paige is 4 and is still working out on it.
I enjoy my little space but still go to the gym in town, I get lonesome all alone all the time so I alternate.

Last week Casey Wilder (Colorado Kid 1884) conducted a vote for The Most Improved Tracker Jim Shelton Won for most improved Male and yours truely WON for Most improved Female. We even recieved Prizes. Above I have given a little show of my progress from a size 18/20 and 200 lbs to a jr size 10 and 65lbs less weighing in at 136 lbs. and a pic of my fantastic prizes, Some Yummy Kansas City's Gates Bar-B-Que Sauce. ( I can't wait to try it out on some ribs) Free day after the cruise, yummy

I've been practicing the BFL lifestyle 16 months May 24th
It gave me my life back, I'm ME AGAIN!!!!
One day I hope to become a spoksperson for Body for Life and EAS products. I
want to talk to people around the world about the Positive Program that I
believe so strongly about.

Other then working out, I've been preparing for the cruise, CAN"T WAIT!!!, I
was invited to Lead the Aerobics Class on the ship, ya'll know how I LOVE MY
AEROBICS, and this is the MOST!!!Just a DREAM COME TRUE. I was also asked
to fill in for Michelle Lee ,The champion that started the Red Bikini Society, so I will
be involved in that too.
This is more then just a vacation to the Bahamas, it's amazing to think that
I will be on a cruise to the Bahamas with Bill and Sarah, her best friend
Dana and all of the body for life people that I have met over the internet
on BFL websites for the past 16 months. People like ME, that think it's
NORMAL to WANT to exercise while on vacation, HEHEHE !!!!! Life just doesn't
get any better then that folks!!

I have been honored by Michelle Lee, Founder of the RBS , to fill in for her at the 2nd Annual Champions for Life Cruise in June 2006. I will represent Michelle and speak on behalf of all RBS members.
Members of the RBS 1st String Chaper made their 1st official public appearance during the CFL Cruise in 2005. As 24 lean and toned women of all ages sporting their lisptick red bikinis made their way accross the promenade deck to the photo shoot, they caused quite a stir among their fellow shipmates. Many gave their thumbs up, many inquired how they could join the fun. Many are now creating their own official chapters of the RBS, proving that a playful life is indeed worth living and sharing to the fullest.

As a member of the RBS it will be my duty to share the secrets to greater physical, mental and spiritual health...with others, so that they too may say, " When I grow healthy and fit, I shall wear RED!"

How it all began

Never in her wildest imagination did Michelle Lee ever think that she would one day create a Society, dedicated to the empowerment of women seeking to regain their health and fitness. Nor did she dare dream that in her 50's she would one day proudly wear...with a "wink and a smile, a hot, lipstick red bikini because should could!"
But that's exactly what did happen... thanks to one amazing weekend in Golden, Colorado.

In Early October of 2003 Michelle Lee attended an Energy Camp for Women sponsored by EAS(tm).* Fat and 51 years old, Michelle was struggling unsuccessfully to regain her health and fitness. Prior to attending Energy Camp she had spent nearly a decade struggling with a laundry list of illnesses. Her growing list of medically diagnosed illnesses included Fibromyalgia, Depression, Sleep Apnea, peri-menopause and Obesity.

Until recently Michelle relied on her Doctors to fix her. Thus began ten years of pills and treatments. Despite the best medical treatment available her symptoms worsened along with her weight. When the big "5-0" came and went, Michelle's weight hit 190 pounds. Barely fitting into a size 16 and shopping at stores for full figured women she was about it give up her goal of regaining her health. Then a friend told her about the Body for Life fitness program.

BFL was created by body builder, Bill Phillips who wanted to share his knowledge of fitness with average Americans struggling to get a handle on their fitness. Phillips created the first 12 week transformation challenge with money and prizes to encourage Americans to get fit. His book, "Body for Life 12 weeks to mental and physical strength" offers a step by step plan to adopt a lifestyle based on balanced nutrition, exercise, resistance training and supplementation. It is among one of the most successful weight loss and fitness books ever published.

Michelle's friend had such a remarkable transformation using Bill's program that she decided to try the program. The day Michelle decided to "change her mind and change her body" she bought the Body for Life book and a copy of Energy Magazine for Women published by EAS(tm). A small advertisement in the magazine mentioned EAS(tm) was holding an Energy Camp for women.
Michelle applied and was accepted.

The three day camp in Golden, Colorado exposed Michelle to new ideas about balanced nutrition, exercise, weight resistance training and supplementation. She also got the message it really is up to each of us to take responsibility for our own health.

The camp attracted twenty women from around the nation with the same goals...to grow healthy and fit. Following that weekend many of those campers began their own BFL fitness challenges. The Energy campers remain in touch and continue to cheer one another on in their many accomplishments. They continue to live the BFL lifestyle and grow stronger and more beautiful....each day as a result of their camping experience.

As for Michelle, today she has given away her size 16 dresses and now wears a size six. She is free of the symptoms of medical problems that had plagued her during the decade of her 40's. Her Doctors are amazed at her transformation and so are the folks at EAS(tm). They named Michelle Lee their 50+ Grand Champion of its 2004 Body for Life Transformation Challenge.

We wnt to the movies tonigh and drove home and up our drive way and saw a big fire, scared us to death, it wasn't our place but it's the left over of what's left over from Hurricane Katrina killing all the trees. All the way across the back of our house is a huge forest fire. we called 911 and they said they know but it just has to burn it's self out, not enough water preasure. but it is spreading and now up to my horse barn, or what's left of the house barn, katrina got it too. Fire dept is there now. it's 12:30am and I am suppose to get to sleep, I don't think so!!, I'm looking out the back door every 5 minutes . This is a picture I took from standing right on my back porch. SCARY!!

This was my 1st Race ever, 5K ( 3.12 miles) I just wanted to do it! and not come in Last!

I did it in 35.57 minutes and Took a Trophy home for the 1st Place Grand Master/ Female

I was shocked!!!!!!
I was #230 and I placed #67, This was a big thrill that I sure didn't expext.

I had a blast running the race, I , I hooped and Hollered and talked to people on the side of the road, it was like I was in a parade with people out in front their house yelling " GO GO GO""

Up bright and early, carb loading, with orange juice and oameal and banana, and took my ThermoDx and 2 cups of coffee. Been stretching my legs and back out. will have a high carb protien bar and orange an hr before the race. Have to leave in 30 minutes, line up is at 8am and Race starts at 9am.
I'm excited, this is my 1st race ever, it's a 5K. I just hope that by the time I get to the finish line everyone isn't already gone. I run slow, a turtle can beat me, but I'm trying and I'm doing it and I'll GET*HER*DONE!!!

To look at me, you would think I an old pro at this, haha, I'm all decked out in my runners outfit, I'm representing the Picayune Athletic Club and have on a PAC black and goal tank top and my gold sweat band. hehe, I love playing the part,

So anyway I'm off, no not off my rocker, just off to the race.

Today is also Sarah's cheerleading tryout day for being a cheerleader next year . Hope she makes it, it will be her senior year and has been a cheerleader since Kindergarden.
This is a big year for the tryouts, about 80 girls trying out and only 20 will be picked. So Wish her luck too.

I have just completed my Ms Fit Meltdown Contest and entered my front ,side and back vew photos plus 3 of my favotites for extra.

I did not reach the gola I wrote on the goal sheet, which was to losse 19 scale lbs and 10% BF . Maybe I was too eager to do too much in my 12 week challenge. But I did my best, I worked very hard, everyday and I feel I accomplished alot. when I started this journey 14 months ago I was an unfit 200 lb 48.88% fat unhappy Granny with aches and pains

Today I am 143 lbs and 30% fat and as happy has can be, energitic, full of pride, busting with joy and eager to continue my journey to contine living my new lifestyle. I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm a work in progress and I'm GETTEN*HER*DONE!!

When Body for Life makes friends , It’s for Life!

I don’t know the exact moment that I met you, the exact time or the date. But I know where we were, we were on the same journey at the same time. We were living miles and miles apart yet we were always right there, just a website away, to share our journey with each other.
Was it Tracker? Or Lifer? The Torch? Or Julie Whitt that brought us together? I don’t quite remember. But I do know it was because of Body for Life. Two men brought us together, God gave Bill Phillips an idea and Bill listened to God and carried out the idea to make a healthier and more fit world. Through God’s Plan and Bill’s insight to listen and make the plan work we were all brought together. We have become friends, not just cyber friends, not just chat room friends or online internet friends. Real Friends, Friends that know each other thru a bond that even some of our closest loved ones don’t understand. We acquired this truly remarkable friendship all because we have some of the most unique positive qualities in common.
We have a very strong sense of purpose
We have confidence in ourselves
We never make excuses for not doing something we believe in
We always try our hardest to reach perfection
We never think of failing
We set goals and work extremely hard to achieve them
We understand our weakness and are proud of our strong points
We can accept the benefits from criticism as we know it can only improve us.

I called EAS today and got some discouraging News

I called EAS this mornign and I got some discouraging news about the challenge , I asked about when you do multiable challenges, I flat out asked, I said I did 3 official challenges last year and lost most of my wt then, I am still loosing and gaining muscle and enterening again. I asked if they saw my pic and read my story and like it and were impressed would they go back to the other challenges from last year and see that I went from 200 lbs to now at at 144 lbs and I would have a chance of being a winner as a multiable challenger. James told me NO! he said we only go by the one 12 week challenge that we are looking at. I said well a lot of people can make that change in 12 weeks but like me it took a constance challenge and fantastic results . I said like and I even named names, did multible challenges and won, and he said no , no Example, Michelle Lee Won her last challenge, only because of the last challenge, the last challenge showed remarkable results, also on Mina Hoba, she won from the last challenge only and they did not look back to see that they had come a long way. they only show that now because they did win a challenge.So anyway, I was disapointed to heard that, Bill kept telling me that, they have too many to go and look back, but I was under the idea that as long as I said in my essay that this is my 4th challenge they would look back.So most of my challenges for each 12 weeks is a good result and makes me happy but none of my 12 week challenges are anything spectatular , it's when I look at the 1st before and the now pic that is so amazing and BFL will not be looking for that.To make a long sad story short, If I intend to Win a position in any challenge I have to make a change that looks like it took the whole year to do.Ok, I'm disapointed but I'm not giving up,My challenge this past 12 weeks to me were wonderful, but to BFL it's going to be nothing to talk about, sohere's the plan.I am going to contine on my journey and get in my tip top shape for the cruise as I planned to do, then after the cruise I will start a new challenge where I will kick up my hiit's a notch and lift and make that 12 week challenge so noticable with so much muscle that no one not even The judges will be able to take their eyes off me. I wILL do it, I will GET*HER*DONE!My dream is to become a spokesperson for BFL and I will !!!!So everybody, stand aside, cause here I come!!!! GET*HER*DONE LINDA is READY to GET*HER*DONE!!

I like your attitude, get her done. You go for it!! But, I hate to rain on your parade. You may become a finalist but you will not win for one simple reason: you do not have a "story" to tell. I mean you do not have a limiting disease, etc., at least not that I am aware of. Look at the majority of finalists this past year and you will see a lot had a "story". In my mind, EAS has the wrong focus. This for life, yet they are only looking at 12 weeks. They should look at people who have made this a lifestyle, like you, people that can be an inspiration for making a permanent change. EAS should be looking to make people lifelong customers, purchasers of their products, and not just people who buy their stuff for 12 weeks, do not see dramatic change, don't win or even become a finalist, and then quit, going back to their old behaviors, and not buying the EAS products.

I agree with this so much, BFL is for Life, not just 12 weeks so why doesn't EAS look for more people that have made this their lifestyle. BFL is my Lifestyle, in fact BFL is my Life and it always will be. Yes I am disapointed on the judging but I will continue to be a BFLer and someday somehow I'll be a BFL spokesperson, ( Maybe I already am, I mean That's all I talk about is BFL and I sure to practice what I preach)

The 20 minute workout video was what started my obbsession, dedication, or addiction, to Aerobics. Whatever you want to call it is fine with me, all I know Is I LOVE Aerobics and will continue to do it until I just can't!!! This was my aerobic room in our Home in New Orleans

Some of you asked for it, so you got it! Here are some old pictures I dug up from the Good Ole Days when I 1st started teaching Aerobic Dance Classes

1988 I was 34 years old

I was certified thru ACE then got re-certified thru AAFA

One May 21,1990 I opened my own Aerobic Studio, Pic on left is opening day. I had 40 members. I lived and dreamed AEROBICS. Bill said I did Aerobics in my sleep!

I later taught aerobic Workshops and Trained Aerobic Insts. for advanced classes.
I have taught at hospitals, health clubs, churches and schools.

Today, 18 years later, I am still teaching aerobic classes at 2 schools in Picayune, Ms for the School Board Wellness Program

I have currently completed my Primary and advanced Personal Trainer Certification thru Fitour. I will soon take both the Group exam and the Nutrition exam to become a Master Practioner Personal Trainer.

I hope to some day organize , direct and teach a body for life workshop and become a spokesperson for Body for Life.

I don’t know the exact moment that I met you, the exact time or the date. But I know where we were, we were on the same journey at the same time. We were living miles and miles apart yet we were always right there, just a website away, to share our journey with each other.
Was it Tracker? Or Lifer? The Torch? Or Julie Whitt that brought us together? I don’t quite remember. But I do know it was because of Body for Life. Two men brought us together, God gave Bill Phillips an idea and Bill listened to God and carried out the idea to make a healthier and more fit world. Through God’s Plan and Bill’s insight to listen and make the plan work we were all brought together. We have become friends, not just cyber friends, not just chat room friends or online internet friends. Real Friends, Friends that know each other thru a bond that even some of our closest loved ones don’t understand. We acquired this truly remarkable friendship all because we have some of the most unique positive qualities in common.

Body for Life....To some it's a Program to get or stay fit, to be or become the best that you can. It's an Exercise routine, it's a diet, it's a website, it's a place to meet and chat with people that have the same fitness desire as you. It's a way of Life, a Body for Life. But to me, Body for Life is so very much more. It's about Believing in yourself, it's about trying and doing what you believe in. To work towards filling a dream that is held deep in your heart and achieving that dream. It's about inspiring others to learn a way to achieve their dreams too.
It's about caring, sharing and embracing a person just like you by encourageing them to be the best that they can be too.
It's about a website, a group of people that bond together over their beliefs, post, Im, Pm, e-mail, or snail mail and become friends. Friends that bond for Life and you know even when you feel alone, that they are right there with you cheering you on.
Through my Body for Life Journey I have met some incrediable people, people just like me, that have turned their life around for one reason or another and we have found each other. Miles apart, different ways of living, different in so many ways yet exactly the same in one belief, to be the best that we can be and to inspire each other to do the same. Some of the BFLer's I have come to know have become some of my best friends.
Tracy Jeffries and Ray George sent me a care package during Hurricane Katrina. A box packed with goodies and surprises that not only cheered me up but encouraged me to continue my BFL journey. They showed me that there were people I didn't even know about that were waiting at the finish line for me to cross over and Say " I GOT*HER*DONE!!! This was just the 1st of the many surprises I have recieved from so many wonderful lifers. I wear my most cherished pieces of jewerly everyday. My BFL bracelet, my Believe Bracelet inspired from Our Beloved Julie Whitt, The Weightlifting necklace inscribed " I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" that Tracy sent to me along with her Challenge Shirt and a Sweat shirt from her Health Club in Idaho
I also cherish and wear The Beautiful 24k Gold challenge Pin Shelly Wilson sent me. Shelly sent to to me saying that this pin was my recongnition as an inspiring lifer.
The wonderful surprise cards and notes of inspiration I recieve in the mail from Christie Berlin, the help I constantly recieve from Larry Franscarelli on how to post and set up blogs and photos.
Body for Life has become a part of my life, not just the exercise, the 6 meals a day or the water. It's about waking up and there is a message in your mail box on one website from someone you don't even know telling you that you inspired them and just wanted to say thanks. The Pm on another site that says I just want to say You look great! The messages from the champions that actually call me a champ. The cyber hugs and the I can't wait to meet you messages. The BFL Creed that we are all putting to the test to learn and help us become our best self.
The help, guidence, the passion to be a family, a body for Life Family. Yes, Body for Life is more then just an exercise program, Body for Life is my life, I proud to be a part of it and pray that someday I can be a spokesperson for BFL so I can put my best foot forward and speak out about the Day Body for Life lead me on a life time journey that is deep in my heart and carried wherever I go to keep the fire burning

I just completed another of my goals for this year. I took and passed the Primary Personal Trainer Certification through Fitour.

I have been certified thru Ace and Affa for Aerobic Dance since 1991 and always toyed with the idea of Personal Training. This year, thanks to BFL I mustured up enough confidence in myself to go for it. I took the exam this morning and Passed with a score of 94. I'm very proud of myself right now. I am officially Certified as a Personal Trainer.

I am currently teaching aerobics athe the high schools in Picayune as part of a wellness program through the School District.

Before you say " I can't" Be sure that you already tried!!!!

It was a big nite for Sarah, she was a ball of nervers but you would never think it to see her on Stage.

Sarah Won the Spirit Award, She was honored to recieve it. She said although she didn't win the Title of Ms Jr. Miss she was happy with the way the night turned out, the friends she made and the experienced she gained. The Judges had announced that it was hard to choose just one of the fourteen girls, they were all wonderful and worked so hard and their hard work showed. They said they did not feel that they were choosing a Winner as a Representive , but a Representive from a group of Winners. Sarah was and is a Winner , I was extremely proud of her when she told us she was honored to recieve the Spirit Award because it meant that all the other consentants loved her, appricated her, and choose her after getting to know her. To Sarah that meant more then The Title as she said the judges didn't really know her.

4 weeks into the New Year Challenge

I am doing great on the workouts, No complaints in that dept. I workout hard and I love it!
I eat clean but, I think I need to clean up my act as far as eating too big a portion, It's fist size portions Linda, my fist not King Kongs fist! So I have to work on that!
In this past 4 weeks I've lost 6 lbs and went from 33.8 % BF to 33.4%
I can see a difference in my pecs, delts, bis, tri's, romb's ,Traps, Lats, Quads and calves. From the side view I can see a major difference in my abs. I am beginning to see the little line that defines.
But, MY BUTT needs work!!! lol!
I'm working desperately on the celiute on the hamstrings.
I can now do the hacksquat using 160 lbs for 6 to 8 reps. It's a powerful feeling, I love it!

My next 4 week goal is to loose 10 lbs of pure body fat and you know me, I will GET*HER*DONE!!

Callenges this year
From January 2 to March 27th I have taken on 5 different challenges. I am dedicating my 1st challenge to Julie Whitt and promise to Keep my Freak On in Honor of Julie. I proudly wear the torch shirt designed to keep the fire burning and blue Believe Achieve inspire bracelet in memory of our dear body for life 2004 inspirational Winner and Friend.

I enter my 3rd BFL Challenge (2 in 2005 and now my 1st on of 2006) This is the challenge that I plan to Lead me to become a finalist by the end of 2006.
I have lost 53 lbs and 16% Body Fat since I began my BFL Journey one year ago.With the knowledge I have gained and the encouragement I recieve from my BFL family I know in my heart, I can "GET*HER*DONE"

I've entered the Ms Meltdown contest which I hope to place.

BFL'ers 2nd annual Forum Contest which I Won The Championship in 2005. This years contest is to Win a chance of going on the Champions for Life Curise in June 2006. The winner takes 2 tickets to the BFL cruise. I already have my reservations and I am not trying to win the tickets, just want to Win by looking my best on the cruise.

I take the mini challenges on Tracker and enjoy the friendly competition and the chats with people just like me.

I was Honored to have the chance to Visit Julie's Grave

It was Friday the 13th, the same weekend of the EXpo in Denver. We had arranged to visit my oldest daughter Robin ,son-in-law Steve and grandkids, Katy and Stevie in Richmond, Virginia

We passed Marion on the way there. I wasn't sure where the cematery or Church was but I knew it was Bradley's Funeral Home so we went there. They were extremely nice and said Julie was actually in Chihowie a few miles from Marion
They gave us directions and we went to visit Julie's grave.

It was an experience that touched me and I'll carry close to my heart. I never met Julie in person, but thru pm's on Tracker and e-mails and 2 phone calls I felt that I knew her well. We had many things in common and we shared alot together in just the short time that I knew her. We talked about our scars on our stomach. Julie's from her feeding tube and mine from a feeding tube as a baby, as I was born with an esphogus.
When I arrived at the grave side it was a beautiful day, sunny and calm, I stooped down and talked to Julie for a few minutes. I told her how A website was created in her hornor and how thousands of people were dedicating their Body for Life Challenge in her honor as well. I touched the grass and said Julie, we will all CARRY the TORCH for you, just like you wanted. Suddenly the wind picked up and blew pretty hard. It was indeed, as Stephanie Workman said, Julie's way of answering me that she knew, was happy I was there and saying look, I am breathing a breathe of Heaven.

I feel very blessed to have had the chance to visit Julie's grave, I would have called Matt, but I was afraid of upsetting him, he is so emotional and fragile right now. I did call his sister Amy, but didn't get an answer.

This is how it went tonight, I got the call from Jerry Braam at midnight here in Virginia. Jerry called and said ok, listen and they said "and the winner of the 2005 BFL championship is Aaron Ferguson "and people started to scream and hoop and holler and I got so excited and I was jumping and started to scream too, then Jerry said, Linda did you hear, I can't hear you, and I screamed yes, Aaron Won! and Jerry said ok, and hung up, But it was like I was there!!!!! Very thrilling . there is no way I will be able to go to sleep now!! I am so excited! It was just like I was there in the room with all the most beautiful people in the world! This is an experience I will cherish 4-ever !!!

Aaron is 33 years old from Sydney, New South Wales, Austrialla. He lost 18 lbs of fat and gained 13 lbs of muscle.

I have come to know Aaron thru the BFL tracker and e-mails and was his personal cheerleader from the very start , before they even anounced that he was one of the 15 finalist.

Well This is the plans for 2006, LOL! well maybe not this much muscle, I look like I'm related to Popyee!

But I do have very big plans and dreams for 2006

1. Loose another 19lbs on the scale which will take me back to 130lbs.
2. Loose 10% Body fat, and then I'll be at 22%
3. Gain noticable muscle definition on all my body parts. I have wanted and admired muscles for years but never had the didipilne to GET*HER*DONE , well now I do!
4. Get certified to become a Personal Trainer
5. Go back to work at a Gym, I miss it. Don't need the money, just love the job
6. I've entered a few contest, I want to win one
7. I have my cabin booked for the BFL cruise and I plan on being worthly of wearing a RED BIKINI
8. Join the RED BIKINI SOCIETY
9. At 52 years old be in the BEST Shape of my entire life,
I want people to look at me and say, what? you're 52 years old, WOW!
10. Yes this may be pushing it, my I want to become one of the finalist in my age catorgy for the Body for Life Challenge
11. Become a spkoesperson for Body for Life
12. Write my book of my life
13. and last but certainly not least, my lucky # 13 goal is to be happy ,healthy, and always have my family close by.

It's A Wonderful Life!!!! And 2006 is going to be MY year!!

I can't believe the difference one year can make when you put your mind to it.
This is my comparision pic that I have all over the house to remind myself who I was just one year ago.
These 2 pics were taken Christmas Eve 2004 and Christmas Eve 2005. 51 Lbs and 15 %body fat less.

I not only look better, but I feel better, I feel like I have taken 15 years off my life.

I never really understood exactly waht "GET YOU FREAK ON" Meant, but today I went to the Gym and , wore my Wonder Julie Shirt and I dedicated my workout to Julie.
As I HIIT my Highest ever on the Ellipitcal machine, Level 17, I said to myself, " Julie, I've Got my Freak on, this one's for you, I love you Julie, rest peacefully"

Julie inspired me, I am achieving my goals and I believe I will get to meet her one day in person in Heaven.

Julie and I were so excited that we would meet on the cruise in 2006 , we talked about it alot and just last Monday when we spoke on the phone she told me how stressful all the waiting was to get her new Lungs but the cruise was her inspiration and that was keeping her fighting to make the best of life that she could do

You all have written such nice things about me. You say things like, "You're amazing.", etc. I must give credit where credit is due. Trust me on this! There is absolutely nothing amazing about me. I'm just a girl trying to muddle through life the best I can. I mess up everyday. I've always said that I'm the worst BFL'r ever. Now I can say that I'm the worst BFL Champion ever. I'm constantly messing up on the program! What IS amazing is what God has done FOR me. My every breath is a gift from God. Anything good that I do ultimately comes from God. He has worked countless obvious miracles in my life. I wonder how many he has worked that I couldn't even see? The truly amazing thing about me is that God has invested so much time working on me! I appreciate what He's done and I try to live a good life. To God be the Glory.

Julie Has passed on, She is now at peace over her rainbow with Our Father and breathing a breath of Heaven.
Julie was an inspiration to many, her courage, her heart and her passion for life was extraordianary.

I never met Julie in Person, but through tracker and BFL we got to know each other with e-mails pm's and phone calls. We called ourselves the 2 belly button twins, be both had a scar on our stomach from a feeding tube.
Julie was the angel we all knew she was, she was sent from Heaven to inspire us and make us awear of all we can do if we just try. She was looking forward to the BFL cruise in 2006 and wanted to meet all her BFL family. Julie we won't see you there but your heart and you love of life will be there to touch each and everyone of us.
Your Wish was to be home for Christmas, you are now HOME!

Julie loved the Wizard of Oz, I sent her a nutcraker made like the tin man for Christmas and in all her times of stress she took time out to phone me Thursday evening. Her loving heart and angel voice of words will stay with me 4- ever.

I am so very sadden by the loss of our friend Julie will be missed but never forgotten.

Julie got the call she had been waiting for, her lungs were waiting for her. The double lung transplant was successful on Dec 17th, how ever they were worried about fluid retention, as of this moring, the 18th , another proceedure was being preformed to stop the bleeding, she was given 100 units of blood and still bleeding. She is on a lung/Heart bypass machine as of now.
I spoke to Julie last Monday, she was having a tough time, the waiting was extremly stressful. But even in her stress she took time out to talk with me, she is the sweetheart I knew in my heart that she is.
Julie left me a heart warming message Thursday on the answering machine about a little gift I had sent her, Julie is an extraordainry girl and we love her dearly. Please keep Julie in your thoughts, heart and prayers that she will come out of this operation and live the fullest life that she so much deserves.

It seems that for every thing that happens, I have a story behind it to tell.

Here is another one of my stories that makes me feel confident that Julie will be OK!!

My mama and I used to always discuss everything together, we were extremly close and we talked about the one day that she would die. I know sounds like an awful story but it's not, it's amazing to me how things happen and when and why, so Please take the time to read on.
We talked about how, if you want me to have flowers, pick some out of the garden today and give them to me with all your love, don't wait until I die and spend a bundle on flowers I may not be able to enjoy.
Mama always told me that if she could come back to see me , she would, she said, if yousee something odd or feel a touch or the air smells differently for a moment, don't be afraid, It's just me coming to say hello to my little girl.
Mama said that she would watch over me and help God and talk with God to make all my dreams come true.. She used to said, if you need something really bad and your prayers don't seem to get answered, talk to me and tell me and I'll go talk to God myself and Ask him to please give you what you want or need.
Well through the past 16 years many odd , and unexplained things have happened and my dreams did all come true. I have been so blessed in everything that that happens to me.

Well I told you I spoke to Julie Monday and then she left me a message on Thursday, well on Friday night my daughters boyfriend 's truck broke down, my husband drove 3 hrs there and 3 hrs back to go help him. It was 1am and I went to laydown for a few minutes while waiting for Bill to get home, The house was quite and the perfect time to say my prayers, I asked God to protect Bill and Alex on the road and get them home safe and I asked God as I have been doing everynight to protect Julie and send her ,her new lungs real soon. I then did what I always do, I spoke to my mama, I said, Mama, You know how attached I got to the body for life program and I know you know all about Julie Whitt, Please mama, ask God to help her get her lungs and get all this stress off her and her family's minds, Julie is a wonderful young lady and she needs her prayers answered soon.

Well Saturday Dec 17th my mama died at 5pm 16 years ago, I thought of mama all day though we we driving to Jackson for a special cheerleading event for my daughter Sarah.
Their school took 4th place in the state championship .
When I got home at 11pm I got online on tracker and saw that Julie had gotten the call and was in recovery from her lung operation. Amazing. Julie got her new lungs on DEC 17th. the anniversary of mama's death.
odd, maybe, maybe not, but in my world of believing I truely believe that my mama talked to God and another prayer of mine was answered by God. With this belief I strongly believe that God is sitting right there with Julie and helping her and she will be just fine,
Julie's wish was to be home for Christmas, Julie God is there and will get you home with Matt and Christmas morning you will know that you will be on your way home and on the road to recovery.

My Princess Topanga

This is my baby " Topanga " Tp is a white highland terror mix breed.
At the end of last year when I had to put my Weimaraner "Heidi" to sleep I began my search for a new house dog. We decided on a smaller dog this time, I wanted one that I could hold in my lap, my husband wanted one around 20 lbs that wasn't a big moose and that wasn't too little that you trip over her. Sarah and the Grandkids wanted a fluffy dog.
So I began my search,looking up what was the perfect dog for our family. After figureing out what would be the perfect pet for everyone we decided on the white highland terrier that was a mix breed so we could adopt her from a shelter.
I looked online for weeks, , one night at 2:00in the morning, I got on line and was searching on find a pet. I found my dog. It was love at 1st sight, I wanted this dog. She was exactly what I wanted and she looked like the name we all decided on
to name her "Topanga" would fit her perfect.
She was at a Vet In Ocean Springs, Ms, 3 hr drive away, I e-mail the vet office right then at 2 in the morning. I said I was interested and told her about our family and wanted more info on the puppy, who's name was "FLUFFY"
That next morning the lady from the vet called me and said another couple was also interested and was coming from Hattisburg to see her and probably adopt her. She suggested we drive up to see the pupply because you never know they might not adopt her. Bill and I left almost imediantely, and drove up there. When we arrived there were dogs everywhere, cute adorable dogs, but I spotted Topanga, I whispered to Bill, that's her that that girl is holding.
I walked over and the girl and her parents and others were all saying how cute she was, my heart was already breaking, I knew I would not get her. I stood there looking at all the other dogs and all of a sudden Topanga jumped out of the girls arms and ran up to me, I bent down and said, Hi, you are so adorable, I wish I could take you home Topanga and she snuggled up to me. The other people went inside to sign the paperwork , the vet came out ans explained they got there 1st and she was so sorry, and has never had this happen before where 2 familys came at the same time to adpot the same dog. we understood and started to leave. The the Vet called us back and said wait, the girls mother came over to me and said, It looks to us that this puppy is 100% of what you are looking for and to tell the truth she is only about 99% of what my daughter wanted, she handed me Topanga and said you can adopt her, Happy New Year.
I was so excited, the vet asked why they changed their mind and she said they wanted a smaller dog, Topanga was 19 lbs, just what Bill wanted.
We signed the papers and brought her home.
We have had alot of dogs on this farm, alot I loved dearly for a long long time, but Topanga seems to be the best one we ever had. Beautiful, playful, loving, smart and part of our family.
I wish I knew the people that didn't adopt her that day, so I could tell them thank you so much, maybe some one that reads this will know who I am talking about and it will get back to them that Topanga has a very loving home and we all all happy, and I hope they found the puppy of their dreams too.
